Whether she’s designing a restaurant, condominium or residential build-out, Melanie Rogers taps into a deep reserve of creativity and twenty-five years of interior design experience. The internationally renowned designers Fred Beukema and Marjori Nederlander mentored Melanie, leading her to pursue a degree in design at Eastern
Melanie began her career designing demonstration suites for commercial trade shows. This exposure to the Pro Audio Industry, led Melanie to the position of President of EXR / Third Wave Communications, an audio-visual electronics company, where she and her partner were awarded the 1980 Consumer Electronics Show “Product of the Year” for her concept and introduction of the world’s first home satellite TV system. It was so successful and exciting that Nieman Marcus picked it as one of their “best gifts” in their 1981 Christmas Book.
In 1986, Melanie became a Senior Designer in Klingman’s Design Studio. During this time, Melanie studied and earned her qualifications in the principles of Feng Shui, something that made her extremely sought after across the country for her sympathetic and brilliant designs.
After seventeen years at the top of her field, Melanie was enticed to put her skills to work for Urban House/Rock Home Studio in 2003. While there, she met David Weston, a British designer and soon the two decided to combine their expertise to form Think Design.
During her twenty-five year design career, Melanie has worked with clients from Michigan to California, Colorado to Tokyo. With renowned projects, such as the award winning Bar Divani, numerous show houses, models, and retail spaces, she has established a name as a gifted commercial and residential designer.
